Fall approaches and it’s time once again to dust off the old drum gear. The summer was nice and my son and I spent a lot of time at the local water park but the pool is long closed and the days are shortening rapidly. Here’s what we looked like on many days last summer:

Other summer activities included getting some baseball tickets from my friend Greg. We took the boys and sat in the bleachers. A pic:

Good thing I brought lots of cash. Them hotdogs and pretzels and beer (especially beer) is expensive.

I’ve been hired to play the Lord of the Rings Symphony by Howard Shore this week with the SLSO. It should be pretty fun. I’m playing a lot of cymbals and bass drum.

They’ll be projecting storyboards from the movie for a bit of audio visual excitement. The shows are sold out, which is a very good thing.
