A Slow Recovery for the Basement

Drywall 2I’ve been slowly rebuilding the Basement studio after tearing out walls in May. It takes a while when every skill has to be learned and then applied. The hardest part was attaching new furring strips to the walls. Compared to that, wrangling the wall board into place wasn’t too bad.Drywall 1

Installing new electrical outlets caused me some worry but turned out to be the most fun, once I turned off the juice and figured out finding the right spot to drill a hole for the Romex cable.

Next up: mudding and taping, floors and trim. That shouldn’t take too long. Christmas maybe?
