I decided to put this post on my music page, rather than my art page<\/a>, but it could have easily gone the other way. I’ve started going at my collection of basic black music stands with acrylic paint. As so often happens, it started as an afterthought. I was going to paint a particularly beat up old stand with my favorite home made graphite paint but then thought, “hey, it’s flat, it’s black, why not splatter color on it?” And so I did.

The Wall Stand\u00ae (below) is actually attached to the wall so that it takes up no floor space. It’s made of masonite. I look forward to making Wall Stand\u00ae V.2, which will be wider and have a deeper shelf.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
