But wait, there’s MORE!

We got a pleasant surprise when a friendly pirate showed up to juggle at my nephew’s birthday bash a couple of weeks back.

It turns out the pirate was Juggling Jeff, whose work we have dug for years at the annual Saint Louis Shakespeare Festival in Forest Park.

Jeff puts on a really polished show that never gets old. He juggles lots of different items (including fire while standing on a big red ball), does a great Chinese yo-yo routine and interacts in a warm and funny way with the kids.

Here are the pics:

The WirePilots Land

My brother Dan and I have been playing music together for a long, long time. Our first band was from Middle School days. We’ve played many different types of music, from pop covers and originals to jazz to hard to describe sort of alt.classical stuff.

Now we’re playing as a guitar and world percussion duo called the WirePilots. The wires are the guitar strings and strictly speaking, Dan is the only true pilot thereof. I’m not even a co-pilot; more if a flight attendant. Still, I contribute what I can rhythmically.

We’ve existed for a week and have had 2 gigs already. People A, seem to like it and B, can afford it. Also, a duo is exponentially easier to deal with logistically than even a trio. We hope to get some videos out and record so stay tuned.
